Finding out the ways of Jesus
Who is this Jesus? What does Jesus tell us about Life and how we should live it? What does Jesus tell me about myself? What are the ways of Jesus and why should I live by them?These are all the questions that many students battle with in their lives today. The reason for this life isn't always to find out the perfect answer for everything, but rather to walk through the tough questions together. Restored Students promises to always walk through the tough questions together and look at those questions through the eyes and words of Jesus in His scriptures.
Giving the ways Jesus Gave
What does Jesus tell me to give? How does Jesus tell me to give? What happens if I don't give like Jesus tells me to give? Jesus is very upfront with how He teaches His followers to give to those in need and how to love each other. He is very stern in His commands to take care of the forgotten, neglected, and helpless. He asks us to give so much more than just our money, He tells us that no one has greater love for another person than when he lays down his life for them. Restored Students wants to learn how to love the forgotten, neglected, and helpless as Jesus did. In doing so maybe we will get a taste of what it means to learn His ways and walk those ways out in our community.
Walking in the ways Jesus Walked
What does it mean to walk in the ways of Jesus? How do I walk in those ways? Where do I even begin to walk to? Why is it so hard to continually walk with Jesus and with others? What is authentic community? Jesus' ways are hard, there's no denying that. Should we expect the ways of the God Man that came near to us to be easy? Hopefully as we try to learn these ways of Jesus, give like Jesus gives, and walk together in authentic community we will begin to take one step closer to walking in the ways Jesus walks. Restored Students promises never to walk away when things get hard or dirty, but we welcome those times as it truly shows us if we are walking with Jesus. We want to wade through the muck in our lives together so that after we pull each other out through our filth we can sit and let our Savior clean us with His grace, together.
